VPN Settings Do Not include Always Connect

Using Norton 360 v 25.3.0. In Setting for VPN there are only two options:

  1. Connect when using Public Networks
  2. Never, I will connect manually

According to documentation there should be another option: Always On

Please confirm you’re Norton 360 for Mac

is this the documentation?

Caveat: I’m not Mac

Yes, I am on Mac. And yes, that is the documentation. However, I only see two choices.

Maybe, post pic.
We’ll need Norton 360 for Mac user to chime in.

Mac user here. There does not appear to be an Always On option in MacOS like there is in iOS. Hopefully Norton will see this question and include it in an update. Very annoying to have to keep checking and enabling the VPN manually when one travels frequently.

If you Turn on Norton VPN and shutdown or restart your Mac, it should automatically connect after restart or fresh boot. You don’t have to manually connect. However, it doesn’t have a kill switch feature like NordVPN has.

Help, I turned on my VPN, restarted my Mac and the VPN is off. I go to Privacy/Secure VPN and I get 2 opens, neither of which are ‘automatically connect.’ Perhaps because I’m on my home network. I still want the VPN as the default. I’d rather shut down the VPN rather than have to remember to turn it on. MacBook M3, Norton 360 25.5.0. Any help appreciated.

Figured it out. My default/personal/home wifi network was set to ‘private network’ and considered safe by Norton. When I removed my home network from the private network category, the VPN began turning on automatically when the computer restarted.
