VPN slow as puke

I am extremely disappointed with “Norton VPN Plus”. VPN slows down the system so much that it is unbearable to leave VPN activated. Also, when VPN is activated, various websites that I have been using for many years cannot be opened. In general, everything is much slower. I’m going back to the system I used before.
I definitely do not recommend this system.

All VPNs will slow your system to some extent because of the overhead required to encrypt and decrypt the data as it leaves and returns back to your computer. There have been some Norton users that have experienced extreme slowdowns that we have not been able to diagnose. Others do not see this issue.

A VPN does not block or filter any web content. It is the website you are trying to access that is probably blocking access from known VPN IP addresses. This is done for copywrite, legal or political reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can or should do to bypass the site’s protection for its content.

Here is a How to Geek article on this. https://www.howtogeek.com/403771/why-do-some-websites-block-vpns/

What system were you using before?

McAfee LiveSafe.

Before installing Norton, did you fully remove your Mcafee using the removal tool here? https://download.mcafee.com/molbin/iss-loc/SupportTools/MCPR/MCPR.exe If not, there could
be some leftovers from McAfee interfering with your Norton install.

I uninstalled Norten.

I was asking whether you fully uninstalled McAfee Before you installed Norton.
