Vprotray.exe - No Disk (Ghost 14.0, Vista 64-bit)

The problem is happening on a new Vista 64-bit laptop with Norton Ghost 14.0. The laptop is about 2 weeks old and has all current Vista updates.

When a Blackberry, camera, (or other device that shows up as a drive letter in Windows Explorer) the following message pops up:

"VProTray.exe – No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR3." (The last number varies, depending on what device is plugged in, i.e. DR1) I get the option to cancel or retry, but not matter what I click on, the message keeps popping up.

Here's everything I have tried so far.

First, I tried to run LiveUpdate.  A patch was found, but I got a fatal error every time I tried to install it.

My next thought was to change the drive letter for the backup location (f:\) because f: was also sometimes assigned to the Blackberry or camera when the external hard drive wasn't connected. I figured this was confusing Ghost, which expected F: to always be the external drive, not a Blackberry or Camera. I changed the drive letter for the ext. drive to i, and made sure the default backup location was set to i: but the problem continued.

Then I noticed that F: still showed in the list of backup locations (along with the new location, i:)  in Ghost and could not be removed.  I Uninstalled/reinstalled.  Now only the correct backup location of i: showed up, but same Vprotray.exe error.

I uninstalled and ran the Norton Removal tool, rebooted, then reinstalled - same problem.

Hoping the patch found by LiveUpdate earlier would fix the problem, I followed a Norton support document to manually install the patch, Ghost is now fully updated and patched, but continues to have this problem.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm about ready to switch to another backup software.  I would have never expected this many problems installing Ghost on a fresh Vista 64-bit latptop.
