Want to block whole domain as spam -- not working!

I want to block any email messages from hotmail.com  It looks like I should be able to do this in the Norton Add-in Spam filter.  If I choose Doman for the type of message and put hotmail.com or just hotmail, neither works.  How can I do this?

 

I also find even though I specified various words that should block the message, i.e., viagra, medicine, etc.  I still get them.

In Outlook you are able to make a rule yourself

XP or VISTA?

 

But I don't use Outlook myself -- only Outlook Express and it behaves differently under XP and VISTA.

I am using Vista, but it appears i should be able to do this within Norton anti-Spam.

I have a recollection that I tried to block a domain myself in VISTA and it failed to take so I just blocked a more specific string. Sorry I can't remember the details.

 

Unless it is confidential can you post the actual string you try to enter (if I remember entering it ws not a problem) and which will not stick.

 

If it is confidential can you post a dummy string of exactly the same format -- it may be as simple as whether you use:

 

domain

 

domain.com

 

@domain.com

 

and whether or not you need to put in wildcard indicators like *

 

I'm groping --not entirely illogically -- but I don't really understand the internet <g>

What version of Windows are you using and what mail client?
