I"m at my wit's end. I have Norton Security on 3 machines. Within the last month or so, all of them show a little red dot on the Norton icon - with a white X. Clicking on it opens the control panel, and that leads to some attempt to have me install Norton Safe Web. I don't want it, it has lousy reviews! How can I fix my Norton so that it only shows truly urgent situations and not some attempt to have my install a poorly reviewed product? I just renewed for another year, and can't get my subscription refunded either. Not Good!!!
Hi CollieFanatic,
If your referring to the Browsing at Risk notice as shown below, the next time you get it, click More Options, then select Don't Remind Me Again. Note, if you have more than one installed browser, you may have to repeat the process for each one as they come across.
No one has found a solution to stopping these messages. And Norton's marketing department seems to be running the show these days, so not likely to stop any time soon.
As for refund, you have up to 60 days from the purchase to request a refund for any reason. Contact Norton Support to make your request. www.norton.com/contactcs
