I have installed the new Norton Family software on both my children's computers. It is working just fine on one. However, on the other it is no longer capturing the web history at all. It is enforcing time limits and preventing access to unauthorized sites, but the activity center records none of my daughter's web history.
Anybody have this same experience or any suggestions?
The web activity reports seem to work for a couple of minutes after a reinstall and then stop completely.
Search activity reports are non-existant - I would like to see what my son is actually trying to search.
I experimented on my son's computer on both Chrome and IE. NOF still blocks websites properly. However, using Google, I could type in all sorts of rude words including "porn" and the search results all appear. It did block the sites when I clicked on them so at least that is good. NOF used to block the actual search results but is no longer doing this.

I have been experiencing this same problem. No recored activity since 11/12, which is the same day I was asked to download the "latest version" of the software to my daughter's computer. Did everyone else on this post doenload the latest software too and then start having this issue?
Same thing here (Netherlands). My sons configuration: Win7 (64), Microsoft Security Essentials, IE9 and latest version of Chrome. My sons is only working with IE9. I'm controlling the Norton family with the webinterface and the android app. No problems with the old version of Norton Online Family. Removed the program twice using the safe-mode-method prescribed by Norton in this forum. The parent webinterface from Norton and its settings remained the same all the time. In my case there are no problems with using the parents password but the Norton Family program is not controlling anything. Both timerules and websiterules are not controlled. In the parent webinterface of Norton there is no activity seen as described above, though my son is using his computer. When I order to show the rules of my son the program displays no rules. When I order the program to download the rules from the Norton database, the reply from the program is that the download went fine, but nothing changes.
Norton I'm willing to test some setting for you, so please give me some more directions in order to solve my problem.
today installed the latest NF (2.6.0.52) and still the problems as described above. In the account from my son i tried to see the time remained and is says that the time has expired. In the browser I can see all the websites that are prohibited. I can download the rules but that makes no difference either. When I ask to display the rules the popup is empty...
thanks for posting. i've passed along to the team and we'll be following up with you shortly. please private message me (yg) with your norton account email you use to login to norton family.
Just want to say there are a few of us posting. I also posted in another thread about the same issue. And I sent a ticket/feedback message via my NOF account.
No offense but are we all going to receive help or just one or two? This has been going on for me for over two weeks now - with no improvement, no feedback, and no help what so ever. I'm sure I don't speak for just myself.
I'm off to have another search through the forums to see if there are any updates to this problem, but it would be wonderful if we could all get personalised treatment. The fact that my son can search for words like "C.,.t" and see all the results displayed is not proper protection. The fact that he can make another user account on his computer without it showing up on the activity display, when it used to, is not proper protection. I understand that things go wrong after a patch, but this lack of communication and lack of response for requests for help is very frustrating.
I replied to soon to this forum by saying that my NF installation was not working fine. Maybe I can help to inform you what happened. On my parent (administrator) account (win 7 64 home) I installed NF. The strange thing was that there was no information that the installation of NF was completed or I had to reboot the computer. After I noticed that NF was in the taskbar I logged out of my parent account en went to my child's account. There I noticed that NF was not working fine at all. Later, after my son worked with his computer I saw that NF was working fine. I assume that a reboot made that the installation was completed and made NF work good, but that is a guess and I can not reproduce that. One happy parent here!
A great big HOWEVER, is that when I test on my son's computer - I can still see search results. I typed in "porn" in Google and all the search results are still displayed. What is worse is that if I type in "porn" in Google Images, the images are still displayed! And yes, "Search Supervision" is turned on. Grrrrrr
I couldn't have said it better myself. When are we going to get support on this? None of the solutions Norton has posted are working, and directing 1-2 of the folks to personally email isn't leaving the rest of us feeling very supported, especially how long this has been going on. I have a multi-user, multi-year license on other Symantec products, and I'm starting to wonder if my money shouldn't be spent elsewhere.

I have written Yvonne twice asking for help, guidance, with no reply. Clearly this program is a bust with no meaningful fix or support and it is time to move on. The question is: where?
And again I reacted too soon. This afternoon I found that NF was back in the situation I found it right after installation. When I ask NF to display the rules the popup is empty. NF is not functioning at all in terms of controlling the internet access. Would you like me to test anything?
did a uninstall and install of NF. Once again. This time also no information that the installation was completed or a message to reboot your computer. After a reboot, in stead of the last install, I went to the parent webinterface of the NF-settings. And there I made the selection between computer, child and account. The last time I tried making those settings for the two windows accounts in the NF on the computer by right-clicking the icon in the taskbar. That worked out fine for one account, but the other account was not controlled by NF in any way. Both accounts work fine now, in a way that the rules can be displayed and the webbrowsing is controlled. A lot of things don't work, but they are listed as a problem by Norton. Activity's are listed in the parents webinterface.
I had not logged into the Norton Online Family Portal nor monitored my childs computer for at least a month. When logging into the NOF Portal today, I was shocked to se no activity on my child's computer. I received the following message:
"The following devices are running an older version of Norton Family. Please upgrade to the latest version to keep Norton Family running properly."
A NOTIFICATION FROM NOF TO MY EMAIL WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE !!!
I dread to think what my child has been doing on his computer for the last month.
I immediately went to my child's computer and performed the upgrade (with Restart). Upgrade seemed to install OK and blocks unauthorized sites as before, however, I still receive NO ACTIVITY history in the NOF Portal for my child's computer.
