Website ownership verification -Wix

Hello,

I've got a website with 'Wix' and was wondering if I could have some help with manually verifying my ownership. I've tried multiple times, different methods (meta tag and keyword) but nothing worked. I submitted help as well but couldn't get it verified.

Website :  https://www.lrelephant.com/

<meta name="norton-safeweb-site-verification" content="yo2mhtrnn-rk6zzy9am4ogwtlhvetmsvbypn82z5vwhqnnsr00fm56kuym5vpacmqxpw7n08nku5irv0-h4m183gzbc9pnirt8nxxjxdeoas4c7n80hasqrh9ub7c-os" />

Thank you very much.

Thank you Thomas,
I'll leave the meta tag, I really do appreciate it. I finally managed to subscribed myself to the website rating changes.
I'm going to mark your last message as solution.
Thank you very much for your time and effort.

Thank you BJM for marking it safe.

Have a great day guys,

Nihan

I am glad it's resolved for you, @Nihan.

You should leave the meta tag entered by the Wix form in place.

If you entered anything else or extra or not neccessary on your website, you can remove it indeed. For example, I noticed you have NortonLifeLock logo on the top of your website. That's something you can remove perhaps.

Just one last question; can i remove the tags/ keywords now?

THOMAS_HE
You are a STAR! yes!!! its verified! I'm sorry for the late response i've just seen your comment now.!

Finally I can get notifications related to my website.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi Peterweb,

Thank you very much for the info, you saved me from thinking that there's some sort of norton curse following me :)
Hopefully I'll get my website verification soon and this thread will be  closed soon.
thanks x

@Nihan

Just a couple of FYIs about the forum.

As a new user to the forum, images you post are held in moderation until a moderator can check them to see that they do not contravene the forum rules.  As you post more, your images will no longer be moderated. But Gurus and Admins and employees can see the images immediately to better help you.

The @ mention feature is only available to Admins, Employees, and Gurus. But they are usually not necessary as we get email notifications when there is a new post in a thread we are participating in.

Hi @Nihan, can you check now?

I've done all of the steps maybe 10 times, meta keys, advanced seo, custom tags, head tags, body tags, keywords.. uncountable variations. one after another, each one of them single / altogether.. every single time I got this very same result.

Thank you very much for trying with me and reporting it!
At least now I can sleep fine knowing that I am taking the correct steps but its just bugged.
Thank you very much both of you Thomas_he and BJM_ , hopefully now the engineering will sort it out.

PS, I really dont know why i can not tag your names @ aaarrrggghh another bug....

I can see the images you post here.

It looks like the meta tag is now entered as it should be. If you also clicked on the "Verify Now" button on the Safe Web portal after placing the custom meta tag there, and it still fails to verify, I'll report to our engineering to look at it.

I removed the keyword and tried again, just like You suggested, saved and published and tried nothing changed, still says failed to verify. cryingno_keyword_Screenshot 2021-02-07 002840.jpg

why my images are not shown? or is it just me who can not see my own images?

I added both the keyword and the meta key to the advanced SEO now, besides the custom code in the head. saved and published again , but nothing changed.

I am not sure where or what the code snippets are there. I have a feeling you are entering the meta tag in the wrong place.

Would you be able to enter the meta tag under the Custom Meta Tag field, as indicated in the Wix instructions, under Advanced SEO tab?

Once you do this, are you getting the similar results as I have below?

I did exactly as it says; have a look at the png image that i attached attached on my first message in january now i went and double checked and its with < and >  why would i change anything like a moron anyway.

this is the sniplet ive just got; exactly the same with january image.

Hi @Nihan,

I see you are entering the Meta Tag in the Wix's Custom Meta Tag incorrectly.

It needs to be entered in the full HTML format as generated in the Safe Web portal.

Example: <meta name="norton-safeweb-site-verification" content="6xc-7z21jq4nfvooat95n............20iuq5xu9pytkgz9wcqg71hbhikpci9354dnndb06aadp7vuzeyw1134n-10x" />

You need to enter the full meta tag as you see above, starting with < sign and ending with > sign.

Do not enter my random example above, you need to generate your own in Safe Web portal.

If done correctly, you Wix Custom Meta Tag will look similar to this:

We'll try to raise attention to your concern/s.
NortonLifeLock Community is primarily user-to-user support.

Hi BJM_, hope you're well. I'm still here, still trying to verify my website.
I guess there's no hope, don't you think so?
(Sorry, i somehow cant tag your name with @ )
