Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of securing our data center's rack servers, and I was wondering if anyone could share their insights on the best practices for using Norton security products for this purpose. Specifically, I'm interested in any specific settings or configurations that could enhance protection in a server environment.
I've heard that there are certain configurations within Norton (like Symantec Endpoint Protection) that are particularly beneficial for servers, but I'm not entirely sure where to start. Any advice or detailed steps would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi emilyawalker123:
Symantec was broken into two separate companies in 2019. Symantec's business division and all Symantec Endpoint Protection products were acquired by Broadcom in 2019 - see the latest news about Symantec in the 11-Mar-2024 SecurityWeek article Broadcom Merges Symantec and Carbon Black Into New Business Unit. The Norton home consumer division is now a standalone company known as NortonLifeLock and the main home consumer product supported in this Norton forum is Norton 360.
See Broadcom's Endpoint Security page at https://www.broadcom.com/products/cybersecurity/endpoint. There is a Contact Us button on that page you can use to contact a Broadcom sales person who should be able to advise you on the appropriate product for your business needs.
