I recently went looking for a crossword puzzle helper and found a site called My Fun Web. No warnings came up, so I played around on it, then signed out. The next time I got on Firefox, I found myfunweb was my browser and Norton had disappeared from my computer. Reassigned Mozzilla/Firefox as browser, reloaded Norton and thought I was fine.
Some time later, I opened IE and there was myfunweb again! I ran updates for Norton, ran scans and nothing turned up.
I went online and found a site that claims to give instructions on how to get rid of this thing, but it involves manually digging through the registry files.
That scares me because I'm not sure the advise is from a real source or more myfunweb treachery.
HELP!
