Hello Everyone,
I am running NIS 2010, v.17.1.0.19, W7 Home Prem.
I did a system restore today, nothing to do with NIS, and after the first one failed, I remembered to disable 'Tamper Protection' and the S.R. went ok after this. I then saw a small screen titled, 'One Click Support' running displaying 'Error 3047.53'. This was running for 3-4 mins when I decided to stop it, I could see the main screen to NIS was showing viruses out of date and coloured red! I ran the 'Live Update' and it started to download 51.79Mb. After this completed, I ran another update and it updated again albeit a small file, pulse updates. I restarted, ran a quick scan and then checked everything was functioning alright and all appears fine!
The system restore was to the 21st. Nov. I remember doing system restore with NIS 2009 and never experienced anything like this before.
In my 'Errors' log, there are two entries pertaining to this incident, one states the current virus def's are out of date and the other states, NIS Auto Protect cannot load because Virus def's are out of date, please run live update.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?
