What happened today 12/10/08 with Norton

Norton has NO idea of the money I lost today with me not gaining access to eBay. I'm quite certain others are just as annoyed with not having access to other sites (CNN, etc.) as well. I dumped Trend Micro 4 months ago and purchased the Norton anti-virus with the understanding that it is a better program and perhaps a better all round anti-virus system. That is total BS!. Up to now I tolerated the never ending full scans (you could leave and go have lunch in the next county!) and the short Norton scans, that pop up with out warning, that brought my connecting and search speed to a crawl. Today was the final straw. I'm going to look in to the new Kaspersky software which was unavailable to home PC's until several months ago.

It's like going to a restaurant, if the food and service is great you'll tell a few ... but if the food and service is terrible you'll tell EVERYONE! And to think Norton wants $9.95 (minimum) for customer telephone support just angers me even more. What is really upsetting, there is no one here that's considering buying Norton software looking at this forum and can be warned beforehand. But you can bet that I will go out of my way when I see someone reaching for a Norton box off a display that I'll tell them to steer clear. Trend Micro has their faults, but I miss them now. NORTON pretty much sucks across the board.    A terrible waste of money!
