Doing an online search to determine what SymSilent is, and why its on my computer, I found this information from a Symantec employee:

Doing a Board search on this site, nothing about SymSilent comes up. Can someone please help me and tell me if i can delete this from my computer. I'm running Norton360 - is it a part of that? I just uninstalled Symantec System Restore, and used CCleaner afterward. Was SymSilent part of that?

Also, a warning if you are considering purchasing Sym System Restore - don't waste your time and/or money. It has so many problems. I've never had to take a computer to a shop, in 25 years, but after putting that on, I had to take it in twice, and replace both hard drives on my computer.
