What is the correct Norton DNS IP?
198.153.192.40 or 198.153.192.1 ?
And if used with 198.153.192.40 it just blocked non malware sites like some Yahoo & Google sites.

If it blocks Google ans Yahoo sites it is not aquestion of wrong IP. It
is the Norton DNS server itself that is misconficured. I have already
complained about that here in the forum and emailed to Norton. Nothing
seems to help.

Hi,
I currently have Norton DNS running on my router. While I'm typing this I'm watching the yahoo homepage display. If I click on the other tab I can also see the google homepage. I do not think that the problem is with the DNS servers. I will continue testing and see if I can duplicate your results.

If you use any of the new IP addresses, it will block web proxies. This currently can cause problems with local Google sites, Google Maps, and logging out of Gmail. If you use the old beta IP addresses, you will not have this issue. It is not clear, however, how long the old IP addresses will still be functional.
Do you still remember the old IP's? I would like to use them because the Google and Gmail problems.
Norton DNS
198.153.192.1
The old IPs are 198.153.192.1 and 198.153.194.1
We have corrected the issue blocking local google sites. Please try again to see if it works for you.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
Katie
