VPN’s will not work on the devices you are asking about. They run on a proprietary version of the Android system. The changes made for those devices make them incompatible with the Android code for the VPN features.

Ok, so after many weeks of testing and examination of the Norton VPN, which uses Amazon servers, mainly, I tried to post a question in the forum about one of the problems I was having with the service. However, I am unable to start a post discussion using uploaded images or links to images. So I guess I have to wait a few days, read a few threads and post a few replys to discussions a few times, before I am able to post the draft I composed?

To quickly answer your question, Norton VPN, is NOT a service who’s sole motivation is VPN service. They rent most of their servers from Amazon. If you are looking for a VPN service that will work with the devices you listed, your best options will be Nord VPN or Express VPN. They both have software options for smart TV’s. Norton has not enabled that kind of configuration for anything. You have to use their software. Which at this time is just Windows, Mac, Android, and IOS. Again, Norton VPN or Express VPN will also work with DDWRT routers. This is a subject you can spend a lot of time on. You just have to research. If you want to be able to use Router function, you’ll either have to buy a DDWRT router that will work with various VPN service providers, And/or I think Nord VPN and Express VPN have both contracted with certain router manufacturers for their service and you can buy those routers directly from their website.

Thank you for the confirmation. Others have been saying same, but yours is more concise.

Hi Wendy

Do you have a question about this current thread on what devices you can use Norton’s VPN on?

I am trying to understand how you was able to quickly answer the question and say that it only work on windows, mac, etc through the app only, but then you are saying it will work with DDWRT routers? How will that work? If the only way is through using the app, how can someone configure the router.

I am not completely understanding this either. This is the problem when the experts expect that everyone is as computer literate as them. This was the information I was told.

If I was a betting man, I would say that @Vader 's statement should say NordVPN will work with those routers. Just as he previously noted NordVPN and ExpressVPN would work on the other devices in the OP’s question.
