What's Up with LiveUpdate?

Dear Symantec / Norton Employee, Hello, maybe Mike Romo? I’m Dr. Robert A. Novy, a 48 year-old Macintosh G4 user in [lovely] Asheville, NC. I still use Norton Antivirus v10.1.2 from 2005. [Is it obvious that I’ve withdrawn my precious money from the Upgrade Race? I have, happily so! ] Something that I noticed bothers me a-little. The most-recent two-times that I’ve used LiveUpdate v3.5, also from 2005, LiveUpdate grabbed, 33.1 MB & 34.0 MB. So I expected to see at-least a veritable slew new Virus Definitions. But Whoa: my Total Virus Definitions increased by just 1 each time! (From 75,814 to 75,815 on 21 Oct & 75,815 to 75,816 on 25 Oct. Yawn!) Is this as it should be? (At more-than 30 MB, these-two are Large Virus Definitions, eh?) Please don’t get a wrong impression about me. I’ve been a Loyal user of Norton products over years. Never have I found 1 virus on my (several) Macs, but I like to feel Secure! Thank you, Symantec / Norton.
