Hello
Here is an article for information reasons only.

Hi mdleung, and welcome. Was Norton 360 uninstalled for a specific reason ? Did you wish to re-install at some stage ?
Do you have any other anti malware programs you can run, in Safe Mode ?
Hi...
I uninstalled Norton 360, because the internet was slow to connect on boot up and I wanted to see if that would help.
Unfortunately, my hunch is that the uninstallation removed some drivers from Windows.
I could try to reinstall N360, but right now am debating if I should reinstall the whole system. I don't have a Windows recovery disc (only HP recovery discs).
Also need to send the computer back to HP because of strange auto shutdown behavior.
Oh well...
Hi, mdleung. If you've uninstalled Norton 360, you could try running sfc /scannow using Command prompt in Administrator mode, and running the scan, to see if your Windows files can be repaired.
It might be worth a try, before anything else. Note the space after sfc.
Do you have a back up, or a system image on disc ?
You COULD try System Restore to a time before you uninstalled Norton. But I'd only suggest that if 360 is definitely off your computer.
Let us know what you decide.
Have you contacted HP about sending your system back? If they are having you send it back, there may be more problems than we can fix here.
It might be better to wait until you have the problems fixed by HP, then see if you are still having the same problems.
