Where do I find the settings for Norton Crypto?

....so I just heard about Norton Crypto.  Where can I find this to make sure it is turned off so my systems are not used for mining?

Norton 360 Deluxe with Lifelock, Windows 7 SP1

...yeah  I didn't see that green box at the top so I guess anything before  the RTX series is not supported even if it has a large amount of VRAM.  In a way that's a relief because I don't care to have my system busied with what I consider "non essential" tasks as 3D rendering is a very resource intensive process.

Checked programme files and yes, NCrypt is there under Norton <Security/Engine >,  just not activated I guess.

kyotokid, I have a RTX3060 in a new rig I got in Sept.  When I loaded Norton the mining option was there.  Had an old GTX650 vid card before that and never saw it even though they started it around June.  It is correct that you have to opt-in for it to start mining.  Once you opt-in you can turn it on and off at will.  Other than a quick test yesterday, I have not mined since the 1st.  When turned off, it will stay off, even after a restart; there is pause options also.  Like many, I was put off by it at first but opted in after doing research on cryto mining & crypto coin.  I thought it was some hacker tool myself before I did research.  That said, it is understandable people's reactions; Norton should have done an opt-in before it ever loaded.  Look for the file NCrypt.exe, not sure if it is loaded before an opt-in or not.

Thank you bjm_ and peterweb.

Mining is OFF by default regardless of whether you see the options or not.

..even though my current GPU has 12 GB of memory it's considered obsolete for this feature?

So when I perform my system upgrade for Windows 11 (and install an RTX 3060 I already received) a few months from now, will it then show up?

...thank you as I have a GPU card that would be fully capable for mining given it's core count and VRAM.

So where would Crypto Mining feature appear if I had it?  Can someone please post a screenhot?

No. In addition to having a device that meets system requirements, you must also turn on Norton Crypto on your device. If you have turned on Norton Crypto, but you no longer want to use the feature, you can disable it through your Norton Crypto dashboard.

Norton 360 Now Comes With a Cryptominer
[...]
According to the FAQ posted on its site, “Norton Crypto” will mine Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrency while the customer’s computer is idle. The FAQ also says Norton Crypto will only run on systems that meet certain hardware and software requirements (such as an NVIDIA graphics card with at least 6 GB of memory).

Why will no one directly answer  "where " Crypto Mining feature is located on the User Interface to check if it's turned on or off?  I keep seeing that it's turned off by default, yet no one has addressed where the feature select button is found so one can verify it's not enabled. My UI does not have a Crypto Mining option listed to turn  on or off.  I don't want it running on my computer and I want to be sure it's not enabled as Norton says it's a feature in  Nortion 360 which I have.

My Options:       Device Security, ID Theft Protection, Credit Score & Report, Secure VPN, Cloud Backup, Password Manager, Parental Monitor, and Privacy Monitor....those  Options.

So where would Crypto Mining feature appear if I had it?  Can someone please post a screenhot?

...I have an Nvidia Titan-x with 12 GB of VRAM.

If you have not found the setting it is probably due to your system not supporting the feature anyway. You need a GPU  with at least 6GB of dedicated memory.

The feature is turned off by default.
