For years (through NAV, SW, NIS and NSwB), I've always had a desktop shortcut (icon) for quick access to Norton Live Update. After a recent Norton Security update, when I clicked on the Live Update shortcut, I received a message saying that the path was no longer valid.
I've been running Windows 8.1 on a new HP PC since early June and hate the fact that the Windows 8.1 File Explorer is so much less user friendly than Windows 7's Windows Explorer.
I've been unable to locate the Live Update file in order to use it to create a desktop shortcut (by right clicking?).
Using File Explorer, I see the following: This PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Norton Security with Backup
Under that, there are five folders named: Branding, Engine, Engine64, MUI, and NortonData. There is also a file named isolate.ini.
I can't find anything resembling Live Update or LiveUpdate in any of those locations. How can I create a shortcut to Live Update?
