Who or what means ::o local computer

a small question.

I had a second IP adress. It was caused by a problem with my pc failing to reach the DHCP server. I may or may not have fixed it. But in attempt to fix it i noticed i had many rules in my norton history with the message

"there have been automatically firewall rules made to the system" (transelation?)

The only info it has is local computer: (my IP) outgoing UDP and a port number.

But more common Local computer ::o incoming TCP and a port number.

What means ::o?

Awesome, glad to help.

ok, cheers. The link provides some good informations.

Hello Maxi24. The O in the addresses you are seeing represents the computer you are USING. Here is some guidance on the netstat protocol for Windows and what things mean.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/netstat

Edited: Forgive me, I forgot to add that the firewall settings changes you're seeing are also NORMAL. The Norton Smart Firewall will update settings based on updates Norton pushes to our products through automatic live updates.
