Why did the define backup take too much time(16 hours)?

Hi,

I have set up these options in the pitctures and then I noticed that backup would take a long time, although the partition which be imaged is 50GB. I don't know which options made this happen. So, I cancelled the process before completing because I saw 16 hours in the progress

The time will adjust accordingly as it progresses, as there are many factors that can affect backup time. Try letting it proceed and see if the time goes down as the backup progresses. If it does indeed take that long, we can troubleshoot that.

Thanks a lot.

But I don't think that I need to disable SmartSector copying because my partition I want to image has only 50GB used. However, the rest 530GB is free. So, I think the time takes a long time because this option would let Ghost image all the track(free and empty)

Yes, you are correct. In normal cases you should not disable SmartSector technology. This will cause every block on the drive to be backed up, and the verify will also take quite a long time.
