What Norton security product do you have now? Is your Norton Security Norton 360? If so, I ran into the same issue. Because the new Norton Secure VPN product now includes malware protection, Norton does not want the two products conflicting with each other. So the install routine for VPN instructs you to uninstall 360.
If you only occasionally need a VPN, Norton 360’s VPN feature should be sufficient for you.
Thank you, Norton VPN sent me an email which asked me to install Norton 360. I think this may have replaced what I had.
Be sure you check your Norton Account My Subscriptions page to ensure you only have one active subscription. If you see that you have subscriptions for both 360 and Norton Secure VPN, you need to decide which subscription you wish to keep. Then you should contact Norton Support and ask them to help you by either combining the subscription times, or giving you a refund for the new subscription. Contact Norton™Support - Norton Phone Number, and Chat Support When using chat, when you can enter information, enter Agent Please to get connected to a human.
