Why is Norton creating problems

It would be good if the malware database update was separate from the Norton program updater.

Like it is done in Avast, preventing the user from changing versions on their own, giving the user the option to choose when to install the new version.

That might be useful for sure. You already made the suggestion here. About LiveUpdate
