Wi-fi protection in Norton

Hi,

I have a question about wifi protection in Norton Internet Security 2011. Is Norton able not only to detect a list of devices connected to network but also to grant or deny access for a computer attempting to connect with my wifi network?  Norton shows me the number of  devices connected to my wireless network, but it merely states that fact without asking me if I want to block or allow access for a specific computer with given IP address. I've seen that Trend Micro and Panda have technology within the latest products for dynamical detection of  computer's IP connecting with network and then offering an option of blocking or allowing.

Hi myoshi,

You should be able to configure it through Network Security Map -> Remote Monitoring. However, in Norton, a Passkey(Password) is required.

Hope this is helpful,

DougL

Dear DougL.

That is an interesting feature.  I really new to this.  Where can I learn more about this feature in NIS2011?

Thank you for helping.

You can use our help file to learn more information about this feature. The topic in the help file is "About the Network Security Map".
