My goal is to be able to start a Ghost 14 incremental backup and walk away, knowing my computer will shut down once the backup is complete. That way I can conveniently back up my computer every time I shut it down.
Surprisingly, Ghost 14 doesn't seem to offer this feature.
I tried using a freeware program, SLAM.EXE. It's simple: When you run it, it shuts down the computer.
I made a batch file to run SLAM and entered it in Ghost as a command file to run "after recovery point creation." But Ghost froze near the end, saying it couldn't create the recovery point because the computer was trying to shut down. Neither Ghost nor SLAM completed. Obviously, Ghost had started SLAM too soon.
Any suggestions about how I can achieve this automatic shutdown?
