My apologies if this is the wrong place to post.
I use Windows XP Pro with IE ver 7, Firefox 3 and have contacted the
"ANTIVIRUS 2009" bug.
I could not remove the "ANTIVIRUS 2009" using the latest Symantec product (10.1.6000) and
virus definitions.(11/20/2008 rev..3) which I use on a regular basis & keep updated.
I tried out the BUG REMOVAL information given in:

On scanning, Norton does not detect the bug. Both Firefox and Explorer give a message requesting to scan my computer.
On cancelling the request, the browsers go off to an
unpredictable site and starts scanning my computer for bugs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
