Window XP cannot boot up after using Norton Ghost 15

I am new  to using Norton Ghost 15. I want to copy my broken hard disk to another new large disk. I installed the Norton Ghost 15 in a desktop computer which is running window xp. Its installation and startup was  fine. I  used the SATA cable to attach my  broken hard disk  (source driver) as a secondary hard driver in this desktop computer and  I connected my new disk as an external USB disk for (destination driver).  When Norton Ghost  almost finished the copy task, the window seems to be running very slow and nearly freezing. So I used ctrl + alt + delete and clicked "shut down" button. The computer seems run longer than usual to shut down. When I am trying to turn it on, it could not boot up normally.  Does anyone have a solution or suggestions for this issue?  Thanks lot.
