Windows 10 Creators Update

F 4 E:

Creators Update installed on both my machines, using MS Upgrade Assistant.

All ok, so far.

Any changes you like? Or hate?

All of my machines are now happily running Creators Update and do feel more responsive.  Overall a good experience so far.  wink

I've had to re-enable System Restore on two machines and change IE 11 settings too.

Yep,me too.MS just loves changing things around. System Restore is again disabled by default !

Microsoft will start rolling out Windows 10’s Creators Update starting April 11, but it will be a few months before every PC gets it. If you don’t want to wait, you can download the Creators Update from Microsoft right now.

I just upgraded one of my machines and Creators Update seems to be up and running without problems.  I had to disable the laptop's microphone again and uninstall a few apps but other than that it went fine.

Media Creation Tool has been updated to the new Creators version.

I used the Download Tool Now to download the latest Media Creation Tool and used it to download and save the ISO. I mounted the ISO on my Laptop and it is upgrading now.

Norton ID Safe Extension for Edge will be available through W10 store when this version is released. Looks just like the one for Firefox. I guess IE and Chrome are next, then goodbye Local Vault.

Jim yes

Windows 10 is already pretty stable on my machines.

MS + W? = stable OS

isn't that the archetypical oxymoron? devil

Hi, Krusty. Yep it's showing on my two machines, but as I'm not interested in joining the Insider Ring crowd, aka pseudo beta/eap type risk takers, I've ignored it.

I'll wait for the "stable" release------{  ROTFLMAO ! }

I did click it on one machine to see what would happen.  It will be interesting to see if that machine gets the update before my other machines.

I'm not in any hurry as I have no use for all the bells and whistles included with Creators Update.  I just want a stable, reliable and safe Operating System.

If you click on "yes, show me how" you get this from the link.

Jim cool

I don't think I've had any on the tablet (64bit Home) or on the desktop (32bit Pro) although the latter as a multiboot is often not in touch with the Mothership for a week or more and might miss some that MS corrects .....

Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thankfully I haven't had much trouble with Win10 updates, although I haven't been completely problem free.

ability to pause updates not just until you're not using your PC or laptop, but for up to 35 days (but still not in the Home version).

It has been suggested that Home may be added to the list .... (Woody recently?)
