My niece bought a new computer (Dell Inspiron 5555) and installed the Norton Security I bought her on her new computer. Upon restart, the computer wouldn't completely reboot. Landing on the Automatic Repair screen. We have tried Startup Settings and Startup Repair options with no success and have ended up going back to the System Restore option Reset My PC > Keep My Files and then trying again multiple times now.
We have uninstalled McAfee first and restarted before the Norton Security install w/ the same result.
Chatted Norton for assistance. They tried the same things we had already done with the same result we had. (stuck at Automatic Repair screen)
Microsoft suggested Norton Power Eraser. We then ran Norton Power Eraser and it's scan found nothing that it commented on.
If I can't get this fixed, she has to use McAfee folks. yuk. Any ideas?
