Windows 7 64 bit reports no security software with NIS 2011

I have two computers running the Windows 7 64 bit operating system.  Both have been using NIS 2010 with no problem.  I upgraded both to NIS 2011 and now one of them still reports no problem but on the other I get a red flag from the Action Center alerting me that no security software is installed.  The Activity Center on the working machine tells me that NIS reports that it is currently turned on.  Both updates were performed at the same time, using the Check for New Version link under Help and Support on the main program screen of NIS 2010.  Both computers are running the same software from a common 3 user disk.  The settings for the two are identical.  I've tried uninstalling NIS 2011, reinstalling NIS 2010 and then upgrading to NIS 2011 two times, with no change in result.  Both computers report 94 days of subscription remaining so that's not the issue.  At this point, I've gone back to NIS 2010 on the problem machine and will leave it there until there is a solution.  Can anyone help?
