Hello folks - hoping you could help with this issue. I have recently peformed a backup and then a restore of a Windows 7 Enterprise installation with BDE & Bitlocker. The backup and restore appear to work normally (as indicated by the many threads on this forum) - however the system boots up fine and "CTRL + ALT + DELETE logon" screen appears but it does not allow a logon to start.
- no keyboard input is available
- no mouse is available
- only when power button is pressed, system shutsdown gracefully.
Another interesting fact - It appeared that the system was functional from the disk activity etc. so I decided to connect to the network and RDP into the system.
- I could connect with an RDP session and my initail credentials started a full screen RDP session but the only option was a CANCEL button in the middle of the remote session after it was sucessfully established.
This would indicate to me that for some reason Windows 7 is disabling the logon functionality and not some recovery faiure.
- The system is up and running otherwise I could not establish a network RDP session
- The system keyboard and mouse worked fine in the Bios and startup screens (i.e. F8 at startup or Bios)
- The system config has not changed other than a new hardrive with the recovered image.
Any thoughts would be appriciated.
