Windows 7 Firewall status icons with N360

Currently, I see red shields with white X's when I check Windows 7 Firewall status.  The screen does say the settings are managed by 360.  Are the red shields with white X's correct for the public and private connections?

Hi a123,

My Firewall status is showing exactly the same thing.  We've been thru this before, but I can not remember if it was here (Norton) or on the Comcast Forum.  When Norton is installed it turns the Windows Fire wall off ( as the Norton firewall provides better protection).

So yes, Norton managing the firewallis normal and the red shields with whits X's is also normal for the Windos Firewall when Norton is installed.

Hi,

The red shields with symbol "X" shows up every time you set Windows firewall to OFF.

While our product is being installed in your PC, it sets the windows firewall to OFF by default. The reason being is we already provide a smart firewall with our product which performs all such tasks which is being done by Windows firewall.

So it shows red shields in your machine which has norton installed.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Prasanna.

Thanks
