Received a newsletter from Sophos NakedSecurity outlining the Windows 8 Antivirus inclusion! Some very interesting points are raised in the publication also !
I view the offering with some trepidity as the " malware authors" will be on this like hyenas round a bushkill !

Maybe some good points in view that many users who are not security savvy , will have inbuilt and automatic protection...which is a very good thing.....but Microsoft are very busy with all their various projects......so will their AV/ Firewall be robust enough to meet the challenges ?
For myself...I prefer to select my own product from a proven vendor of a system I can totally trust with my protection .
Cofiguring that system to suit my personal needs is then down to my personal choice .I had the option to select the provider who suited my needs best ....and configure it accordingly .
No doubt the Microsoft offering will be configurable .....but many users will be leaving settings at default...and the "bad guys " will just love that scenario !
I think that this could have a very mixed reception by the customer base .....What do you guys think ?
