Let's hope it gets fixed one of these days.
Krusty13:It's been a while since I used Win7, but I thought you could enable WD by going to Control Panel > under System and Security go to Review your computer's status > Security, and enable it there.
Okay....I forgot.
It's been a while since I used Win7, but I thought you could enable WD by going to Control Panel > under System and Security go to Review your computer's status > Security, and enable it there. I think there was a "View installed anti-malware programs" (or similar) link.
... Or search Control Panel for Windows Defender.
jj2015:Jeez, all I want to do is run WD _once_ _manually_.
Will someone help me please.

I don't disagree with that.

I already do.
Jeez, all I want to do is run WD _once_ _manually_.

Windows Defender in Windows 7 is not the same Windows Defender in newer versions of Windows, which is a full anti-virus. Windows Defender in Windows 7 is a poor anti-malware program at best. Instead, I would suggest running Malwarebytes as a second opinion scanning tool. It is a much better alternative.

You may want to disable the trial of the Premium version which will run in real-time.
