Windows Firewall and Windows Defender

I have Norton 360 through Comcast.  Windows Firewall and Windows Defender wants to load.  I'm getting the little gray flag with a red X at the bottom of my screen.  My question is this: Do I even need Windows Firewall and Defender or am I protected under the Norton 360 and if so, how do I turn off Windows from sending these cryptic messages.  Please keep answers simple, I am a very novice user.  Thanks!

Welcome

Norton 360's installation should have disabled the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender.

Click on the grey flag, and click on Open Action Center, then click Security. Does the page show Norton Firewall being on? If not, does it list Norton Firewall as an installed firewall? If not, you may have to reinstall your Norton 360.

As this is through Comcast, maybe a volunteer named Yank will help you.
