Windows Live Mail and Norton Toolbar?

Hello.

I've just installed NIS 2010 for the first time but now is my question how do i see that my e-mail is being scanned by Norton in Windows Live Mail , and isn't there a toolbar in windows live mail by Norton?

I hope someone can help me please.

Greats

I just checked mine and I don’t have one, but the mail is being scanned if that’s what your worried about.

But i thought that there whas a toolbar with it just like Eset

Hi rnuis,

The e-mail scanning progress indicator which pops up in the notification area does not exist in Norton 2010 products; you can read more information over here in this thread:

NIS 2010 works fine with Windows Live Mail, but the Antispam toolbar will not integrate into Windows Live Mail, and Norton only scans standard non-SSL ports. The Antispam toolbar only integrates fully into Outlook and Outlook Express.

Just a small addition: if you go to http://www.symantec.com/norton/internet-security and check under "System Requirements", you will be able to read the following:

Support for AntiSpam
  • Microsoft Outlook® 2002 or later ***
  • Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 or later ***
  • Windows Mail (spam filtering only)
