Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

Please advise if using this product will harm or conflict with my Norton Anti-virus protection?

Nope! It's a good idea to run the Malicious Removal Tool at least when it is released.  No harm running it more often either.

Dave.

Hi PoGirl.

AFAIK, it's totally fine to use it. BTW, why do you want to use it? Did you suspect something?

Thank you.

Hi PoGirl,

Along with the Malicious Removal Tool each month, if you were to suspect something strange on your system, you could download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free edition.

It makes a great second opinion scanner and is completely compatible with your Norton product. Make sure to download the Free version, deny the trial offer for the Pro version, put it on your desktop for easy access anytime. Keep it updated and run a scan if you suspect something, along with your regular Norton scans.

I run mine about once a week whether it need be or not.
