I recently saw a post about a month ago for someone asking if/when norton might be able to support Windows XP 64-bit. I was at a loss for words when I got the OS on my computer and found Norton doesn't support it. I enjoyed having the product on my computer for many years and never had any issues so I would like to continue to use it. So I was just checking to see if that was in the works or if I have to go purchase something new.
Also, and this is a very strange thing, my computer just recently started calling me a "loser". I tried doing some research on this but I am coming up with next to nothing. It seems like it is random when it happens, sometimes I can go a few hours without it and sometimes it goes off twice in 20 minutes. It's just some random audio of a guy saying "loser". I've ran a few scans on my computer already to see if I I may have an infection. I have avast antivirus and spybot search and destroy but both are coming up clean. spyware doctor which is what I'd like to use doesn't support 64-bit either. I did find something about a trojan.loser virus but I'm not sure that it's the same thing. So any help on that would be so very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean
The corporate version of Symantec AntiVirus supports XP 64-bit. I use XP 64-bit as my main desktop here at Symantec and I like the new Symantec Endpoint Protection.

Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security, and Norton 360 already support Vista 64-bit, so if/when you upgrade they will be there for you.
However, the consumer security products will probably never support XP 64-bit. That's not an official answer, but since we haven't supported it yet and Microsoft is starting to drop their support it is likely that we won't make a version for it.
