I am trying to upgrade the size of my HDD on my laptop, using an external drive in the process.
In the Norton Ghost 15 User Guide, Chapter 15, it gives instructions on how to clone a hard drive for a desktop where you can set "master" and "slave", but this is for a laptop.
Can I use the Symantec Recovery Disk to run both the backup and recovery? In other words, would this process work?
1) Install the Symantec Recovery Disk in the CD drive.
2) Boot from the CD drive. Then, run Backup.
3) Switch the internal hard drives.
4) Boot from the CD drive. Then, run Restore.
5) Remove the CD.
6) Boot from the new internal HDD.
