Won't let me enter Product Key

Here is what's going on. I have nis 2013. Its fixing to expire in 12 days So i ordered a new one off amazon.com Nis 2013 disc plus 3 pcs. When i go to enter the product key it won't let me. I open nis click renew box comes up enter the product key in box. Then a box pops up and says Invalid product key Your current product key is norton internet security Your currently product key is not valid for this product. I HAVE NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2013. What am i doing thanks. Who am i calling. Can someone makes this happen. Its what i did last year NO PROBLEM.

Open Norton 2009 version> Click Subscribe Now> Click Enter a Subscription Renewal code or Product key> Enter your product key>Next>

This will activate your product. Keep in mind that the product key is the one which has 25 Alpha nemeric code.

I have NIS2009, And you can install NIS2009 on 3 computers, So i am trying to install NIS 2009 on a different computer,

It ask me to enter my Product Key i did, But the Next button is still greyed out like i didn't enter all the information

I did enter all the numbers and letters in the product key, i printed out my email i got when i purchased NIS2009 i used to have NIS2008 but from the email i got after i ordered NIS2009 i typed in exactly the product Key that was given didn't work,. So i open up NIS 2009 on the computer i have it installed on an click help & support then about and the serial number i tried to enter on the second puter is the same. So why won't it recognize my product key.

I also find this very weird,

When i goto My Nortons account and enter my email address and password and click enter, There is absolutely no information that i even ordered or installed NIS2009 i tried to get into my account to get product key to see if it might be different which i know its not. So i don't get why nothing even shows up in my account even clicking on order history shows blank!..  So how in the heck am i supposed to be able to install NIS2009 on another computer.

And i upgraded from NIS2008 to 2009 and paid for it on 8-30-08 looking at my invoice as i am typing this,

And when i open NIS2009 it says i have 274 days left  so i know there nothing wrong with my subscription, Do i need a new product key to enter on another computer?

Thanks! help,. Computer is not protected on the computer i am trying to install NIS2009 will i guess i can use the trial version til someone comes up with a solution. i shouldn't have to pay for NIS2009 again to install it on another computer since i am allow to install NIS 2009 on 3 computers right now its only installed on 1 computer will trying to install it on another computer so that would only make 2 computers it would be installed on.

Thanks!

I tried that,

I do have the correct product key as the invoice and when i click help & support and click about both product key on invoice and help shows the same product key.

after installing NIS2009 on second puter it ask me to enter my email address to stay inform. now after i entered it, it says it found my nortons account and now it shows  the product key of the trail version on my account.. this is just messed up..I

I got it fixed, i was entering the product serial number which i thought what i was supposed to entere silly me. i lucky bought NIS2008 at best buy so i still had the CD and entered the Product Key that was on the CD Sleeve  so i entered it on other computer and now everything is normal back to working,

Now i need to go on my nortons account and delete the trial version some how because i dont need to get emails from nortons saying trial version is about to expire.  IS there away to turn off the emails i probably going to get?

When i goto Product & Service when i log onto my Nortons account it shows the trial version., But i see no way of removing it since i was able to enter my correct information. But still find it wierd that doesn't show my order of NIS2009 when i bought it in 8-30-08 makes no sense but on well alteast its working with the right information...

Good. That's why I told you to make sure that your product key is the 25 Alpha Numeric code.:smileyhappy:

There is no way to remove the product details from Norton account. As you have activated the Norton product, I do not think that you will receive emails about the expired trial version. Incase if you receive such emails, I suggest you contact the customer service team, they can update this in their tools and later you will not receive such emails.

As said you can't remove entries from the Norton Account.

I have never received an email from Norton about anything that I can remember; if I did it has an unsubscribe link as the Norton Account tells you.

I have installed Trial versions of Norton Software several times and let them run out -- never had an email from them about renewing it.

Just relax and enjoy the software and the support here.

A Norton Account stores your product key on a Symantec server. If you reinstall your program and have lost your product key, you can use your Norton Account get your product key. I don’t think that you can remove any information regarding the registered products from the Norton Account eventhough those are already expired. Whatever information that gets stored in this Norton Account will be permanent. If you still want to store the information of the current product only, try to contact Symantec Customer Services for registering the product under different email address of your’s and remove the previous account.(I am not sure even that is possible, but you can have a try):smileywink:

You will be able to find only one product(current product) under the newly created Norton Account when you register it in a different email address. You may receive the mail from Symantec just before the end of the Trialware subscription and check for option to unsubscribe those mails from Symantc in it. (huwyngr overtook me here by posting 1 minute earlier):smileymad:

Thanks for your help and replies...

Keys for NIS start with the letter J

NAV starts with V and 360 T

Did you receive a 25 character code starting with J?
