Norton Internet Security will not uninstall for some reason after I did system restore.
Did you try running Norton Removal Tool? If not, please run it from http://www.symantec.com/symnrt

I would like add that Norton Removal Tool will remove any Norton product that you have installed on your computer. Also select your Norton product from the link before you download the tool. This will give you an option to reinstall the latest product after running the tool.

To remove Symantec registry keys
- Click Start > Run.
- Type the following:

- Click OK.
In the registry editor, search for the following key:symantec --delete all of them
run again the nrttool for symantec
and also run the ccleaner and search and delete the file first and after for regisrty

Manually editing the registry should always be a last resort, after every other option has been exhausted. Additionally, I would only advise manually editing the registry if you have experience with the registry, AND have created a backup of the registry. I would also be wary of Registry Cleaning software to remove the Norton product from your system.
Like other users on this thread, I too would recommend using the Norton Removal Tool: http://www.symantec.com/symnrt
It has been designed with one purpose: to remove all Norton software from your system.
