We are getting periodic Norton AntiVirus Repair Alerts when running Word 2011 for Mac. The error report is: AutoRecovery save of XXXX.docx (filename) is infected with Bloodhound.Exploit.106. It could not be repaired but has been quarantined.
When we say OK (the only option at this point) Word throws out the following error message:
Word encountered an erro reading AutoRecovery save of XXXX.docx. The file may be corrupt.
When we say OK (the only option), Word says:
Word failed reading from this file "AutoRecovery save of xxxx.docx". Cancel or Retry.
Retry gives the following message: "Word has lost data due to a disk error or a bad network connection. Documents relying on this data are dgoing to be save then closed." OK
OK gives us: "The document may contain text context which will be lost upon conversion to the chosen encoding. To preserve this content, click No to exit this dialog, then choose another encoding that supports the languages in this document. Continue to Save?
From here we get into a Retry cycle which never goes anywhere and we are forced to Force Quit Word at this point with no changes saved since the last time the user actually Saved the document.
This happens every 20-30 minutes right now.
Can anyone help with this?
Thank you,
Molly
