Yingwangtech warning on using binance app

360 started sending the above new alert on using Binance app on iOS . Is there any information please on why the app has become unsafe, & what remedial action is to be taken?

Thank you both for your kind advice. That does throw light on the alert. I’m forewarned.

Everyone!! The error is a simple one in that. Port 443 is the default port for HTTPS protocol which creates a secure connection to a site. In the case of Binance, the connection to it is NOT secure even though, it shows port 443 IS being utilized. Simply put, the website is not secure, Norton is warning users of such to prevent data theft possibilities. The app isn't compromise, the website MAY be in some manner and is being detected.

Your device is not infected. In fact Norton protected you against a possible security problem.

This sounds like your 360's Safe Web feature is protecting you from a possible malicious site that the Binance app is trying to send you to. This could be due to an ad that might appear in the Binance app. If the app is using an ad service, a malformed ad can try to redirect you to a malicious site. You could try contacting the Binance apps developers to see if they can shed some light on why they are sending you to http: //www .yingwangtech dot cc:443/

Hi Peterweb. The alert from Norton on clicking the app says “ Unsafe www.yingwangtech.cc:443. We recommend you do not use this site”. Grateful if you could throw light on this alert as I’m unsure if the app or my iPhone has been compromised.

What exact message is given in the warning?

I'm not saying this is the cause, but the founder of Binance seems to be in a lot of trouble.   https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-seeks-36-months-jail-binance-founder-zhao-2024-04-24/
