When I open My Norton the Device Security has this msg "Your Computer has a fix in progress" displayed, but does not state what the fix is about. It has been going for more than 9 hours and, is still going.

I have restarted my computer as suggested, and the problem has been resolved. Thank you.
Try restarting your computer. That will often finish whatever Norton is trying to fix. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature..
