YouTube is blocked, but my kid can still access it via Google Drive during school; why?

Detailed description: I have YouTube blocked via app control and website restriction, but my kid can still workaround by loading videos into a Google slides page via Google docs. Why can’t Norton Family block this route as well?

Thanks for reaching Norton Family forums.

This is a known limitation of the product. Norton Family monitors top level domain network and blocks or allows the network traffic based on the policies.

Since youtube.com is loaded as embedded in Google slides, we do not monitor/block the website.

We suggest you to block docs.google.com to prevent the child from viewing the website.

We will work with the product management team on improving the behavior and prioritization.
