Did you try Sign Out → Sign In
Your ext drive is plug’d in & power’d?

If your Norton is not working as expected and you’ve tried Troubleshooting → Reset to Default &or Repair Norton & clean re-install Norton 360…then…reach out to Norton support.
Note: Reset to Default resets Cloud Backup
Download and run the Norton 360 Remover tool for Windows here
Maybe, try Troubleshooting → Record a performance issue &or Enable/Send debug logs
May be best to Contact Norton Support

Yes, My Backup [2] from 6 days ago appears wonky
and now after cycling Norton tabs and cycling Norton 360
Hello @RobertRStrand_jr
fwiw ~
I’m imagining since my ext drive is not always plug’d in. Upon plug in. Norton needs time to call from N360_ BACKUP…folder and time to render/populate Local backups & time to run scheduled task &or user called task…for example: Automatically sync or manual call Synchronize.
Note: my Local backups → Automatically sync = off.
I’m imagining with Local backups → Automatically sync = on. Automatically sync = on task takes priority upon plug in and render/populate Local backups from N360_BACKUP folder takes time.
What do you think?

Maybe, think of Norton Cloud Backup as supplement to your primary/secondary backup solutions.
The 3-2-1 Backup Rule
- You should have three copies of your data at all times — one original, and two backups.
- Both backups should be on different storage mediums.
- One backup should be stored offsite.
===============================================
Automatically sync (as per Norton) backs up files every 24 hours. Norton has not shared whether 24 hour cycle is machine up time or 24 hour clock time. What happens to the clock when ext drive is not plug’d in &or not power’d.

Norton Cloud Backup feature within Norton 360, is not a full system image backup.
Norton Cloud Backup functions as a file and folder backup, allowing you to selectively choose which specific files and folders to back up to the cloud, rather than capturing an entire snapshot of your entire system like a traditional system image backup would do.
Norton Cloud Backup lets you pick which files and folders to back up, giving you more control over what data is stored in the cloud.
While you can restore individual files from a Norton backup, you cannot use it to completely restore your entire operating system to a previous state like a system image backup would allow.
=======================================================
Note: Norton 360 cloud backup storage (e.g., 50 GB) is shared among all the devices covered by your subscription, allowing you to back up files from any of them using the same storage space. Norton Cloud Backup storage capacity (e.g., 50 GB) is allocated to your Norton account/subscription, not to individual devices. You can back up files from any of the devices covered by your Norton subscription to the shared cloud storage. If you have a 50 GB storage plan, all devices covered by your Norton plan will share that 50 GB for backups.

We’re hoping Norton publishes and maintains an online, current, in-depth, indexed, searchable, illustrated/videos…Norton 360 v24+ User Guide
