Hello!
Tell us more about what you think of the ABC checker. Likes, dislikes. Suggestions are welcome. Is the appropriate grammar used?
Help us to fine-tune the tool for this community!
I'm not interested in using it, so the Norton Communiity will just have to get used to my bad speling an grammer.
The above sentence was excepted by the Grammar and spelling tool.
I have had little interest in using this tool but as prompted I did try it today. It advised me not to use "modal" verbs because they may lead to ambiguity. That was the point... I was saying that something might happen. It does not improve clarity to say that it will happen.
So I think I will return to not using this tool.
Thanks Krusty,
If you can give me some more details I can reproduce on my side
Do you mean that the checker doesn't even underline those words?
MeryGi
Hi Adminke,
in case of stylistic problems the checker only gives recommendations. The advice suggests that your text may be improved but then you can decide whether you want to make any changes in the text ..

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your feedback. Can you tell me which browser are you using?
We are experiencing some issues with IE but the new release of the checker won't have these problems.
Marialaura.
Hi Marialaura,
First was with Chrome and the image came from Firefox, both latest versions.
Cheers,
Dave
Hi MeryGi,
Just noticed this:
Cheers,
Laura
Hi Laura,
the Grammar and Spelling tool is part of a collaborative project that brings different partners together in order to help communities share information across the language barrier. That logo, ACCEPT, represents the name of this project
Thank you Dave.
We are going to look into that.
Cheers,
Marialaura.

Hi MeryGi,
just to be sure I got it right... do you mean that the second C in ACCEPT is correct as it is in my above screenshot, i.e. written backwards?
Thanks,
Laura
Hi Laura,
Yes, it is correct. It is the way the logo has been designed
