I saw that post but couldnāt get past #1 because C:\Program Files\Engine\ doesnāt exist.
That is: "C:\Program Files\Engine" doesnāt exist (two backslashes before Engine).

Sorry to inform you Norton 360 v24.10.9535 does not have function to backup external drive.
I am sorry to inform you that if you wish to backup external hard drive then you need to download the old version of Nortonā¦however, in new version of Norton we are working on it.
If you wish to download the old Norton version in this case, kindly get in touch with our technical experts by calling on these numbers: 18007456061 or 18007456034, they will surely help you by looking into this matter and taking remote access only if required.
I, too, have an issue with Norton Backup to Cloud. It takes FOREVER to backup my computer to the Cloud (Iām talking at least 3 days!!) and I can absolutely not use any other devices while doing so. Itās such a data hog! So took everything off the cloud and went back to using just local PC Hard drive. I feel the speed of ones internet should have been a factor in the decision to backup only to the cloud. Not everyone has access to a super fast internet speed. PLEASE make the external drive backup available again!
You say you are working on the new version of Norton to enable backup to an external drive.
Any update on this please?
Thanks very much, yes have this now.
Coming late to this as it has only just become an issue for me. I back up to an external hard drive on a monthly basis. Backup takes a few minutes as only new or changed files are backed up. Last month was fine but this month, although local backup is an option, I cannot use the backup set that Iāve been using for a long time and is almost a Tb of data. I have to create a new back up set and back up the whole lot. I just hope I donāt have to do that every month. The option is there to restore data from the old backup I just canāt add to it. Re-installing version 22 no longer works as you get a message that your subscription has expired after itās been installed. I was told by a Norton drone that version 22 has been disabled. We either like version 24 or lump it. My repeated question as to why this decision was made when no one benefits just got the response that version 24 is what it is. No explanation as to the why of it. Someone is supposed to be calling me back tomorrow with an explanation but I doubt Iāll get one. As far as Iām concerned I paid a subscription for software from which functionality has been removed without my permission and so Norton have breached the contract.
WTF ā norton no longer supports backup to local drive !!!
have decades of being a norton user, Iām moving on
Norton supports back up to my local int/ext drive.
Maybe, youāre referring to NAS?
