As far as I know, the previous CCleaner v5.52 crash only occurred for a group of Norton users in the U.S. who were offered a free "upgrade" via e-mail and didn't realize they were participating in a beta test of the "new" Norton 360 Standard that comes bundled with Norton Secure VPN.  See Paul Buettner's thread 360 Recent Up-Date and CCleaner in the NIS/N360/NAV board as well as glenmarshall's thread Norton 360 II in the Piriform CCleaner forum.

I must follow up your link and upgrade .... after I apply the latest Macrium Reflect update!
