File and folder sharing

Issue abstract: PC on local network can no longer see shared folder

Detailed description: On my home wifi network, set up as private, one pc cannot see the shared folder on another. When I turn off smart firewall on the hosting pc, the other pc can then see the shared file. When I turn smart firewall back on, my Windows network setting is public. Is there a setting I can change to allow the non-hosting pc see the shared folder on the hosting pc?

And by the way, this support item entry page is terrible.

Smart Firewall blocking local private network traffic

Try disabling File and Printer sharing protection. There is a tab there for exclusions, but neither method works. That alone clearly speaks to the intelligence of the people now in control of this software. [image]
