File Too Large Error Message

Hello. I just downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver for my Graphics Card and I wanted to see the reputation of the file in File Insight; but it showed me an error message saying the file is too large and can't be seen in File Insight. The size of the file is 529 MB and it released today!

I'll attach a screenshot of the error below. I also have read the change log of Norton 360 Deluxe 22.20.1.69 and one of its changes was fixing exactly this error message!!! I don't know why Norton shows such an error message!

Please ask Norton programmers to fix this once and for all... I don't think it would be too hard for them to fix this little error message!

I'll wait for a response here.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I hope they'll fix the issue!

I'm trying to keep focus on your concern.

Sometimes Norton shows the File Insight info and sometimes doesn't.

Thanks for the pics. What's the point?

Yeah, "strange".
Maybe, File Too Large was never fixed.

I'm still waiting for a response from the Moderators!

I hear ya'.

Thank you for the pics. As I already said, it's a really strange problem. Sometimes Norton shows the File Insight info and sometimes doesn't. I'm still waiting for a response from the Moderators!

Now, after 44 minutes after downloading the Standard version of the driver, I checked it with File Insight and this time it SHOWED the info. I don't know what to say. It's really a strange bug. I hope they'll fix this soon!!!

Pitbull2020:

Thanks for the reply. I just checked the file and mine is showing its info correctly, too!!!

My "showing it's info correctly" may not reflect for all users.

But I downloaded the Standard version of NVIDIA driver for my Graphics Card, today and its size is 575 MB and AGAIN, Norton File Insight can NOT show its info and instead shows the File Too Large error message. It's really strange. I think it really isn't able to show info for large files. It must be fixed.

Yes, it's strange.

I think there's nothing to do with Windows or re-installing Norton or even fresh installing it.

So, guys! Please inform Norton developers of this little bug and ask them to fix this once and for all in the next version. I'll wait for a response here.

PM sent.  Please check your Community Inbox.

Hello again.

Sorry for the long delay! These days my Internet connection had a real real bad state and it still HAS.

I just installed Norton 360 Deluxe on my freshly installed Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 X64 and configured and updated Norton; but it still shows "File Too Large" error message for that file. I think there's nothing to do with Windows or re-installing Norton or even fresh installing it.

So, guys! Please inform Norton developers of this little bug and ask them to fix this once and for all in the next version. I'll wait for a response here.

Thanks in advance.

I'll try to call attention.
Thanks

Thank you both for your replies.

I'm going to fresh install Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 X64 tonight. I'll fresh install Norton and will check the result with the RE-RELEASED Norton. I hope I'll get it, since it's mentioned as a Throttled Release!

I downloaded the file and in both situations (saved in original location and moving to a new location) Norton showed the error message again. No difference here... :|

I think it should be reported to Norton employees to fix this once and for all. Don't you have any contact with them?

Yeah, maybe my "File Too Large" is/was one-off, for me.  I cannot reliably reproduce "File Too Large" (at this time) for Norton Support.   Unless we hear more similar reports.  My think, is that maybe you should report.
Maybe, since 22.20.1.69 has been re-released 04-Feb-2020.
Maybe, try clean 22.20.1.69 install when 22.20.1.69 is full release.

Updated on 4th February: Norton Security 22.20.1.69 for Windows has been re-released.
Note: This is a throttled release.

My contact with Norton Official Chat-Phone Support receives same support script....same by the numbers, as all users.
Unless "issue" is already known.
By the numbers: Norton Official Support requests remote access, requests reproduce issue.
Norton support agent runs refresh Norton install.   Check "issue"....escalate "issue", as required and we'll (support) get back to you.

I just checked my Norton's version and it still is 22.20.1.69 and I run LiveUpdate almost every hour and nothing has appeared until now asking for a system restart; but I myself already did it and there's no change in the program's version number!

The update being pulled by Norton does not get uninstalled from any system that did get the update. It just will not get sent to any systems that did not yet get it. The only way to revert to the older version is to run the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.
